Steller’s Cellar Wine Club
Six Bottles: $150.00

Castoro Cellars Estate Balena: When searching for a white wine for this Summer Club I was looking for something unique and different which is exactly what Castoro often offers.  This certified organic white blend consists of Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Falenghina and Grenache Blanc.  Balena is Italian for Whale, which pays homage to the thousands of whale bone fossils in the vineyard.  Enjoy this wine in the warmer months that will soon follow with floral and fruit flavors up front followed by balanced acid and a flavorful, refreshing finish.

Arrowsmith 2022 Ballerina Rose:  Arrowsmith is a tiny winery with a tasting room and wine bar in Solvang run by owners Tim and Anna Arrowsmith.  The winemaker on this wine is our good friend Rick Hill who uses Pinot Noir grapes from the Santa Maria Valley. Their website describes this wine as having the balance and finesse of a Ballerina dancer.  It is offered at their tasting room for $40.00 dollars a bottle.

Steller’s Cellar Old Town Red 2022 Pinot Noir:  Most of you are familiar with this wine but this is the new 2022 vintage once again perfected by winemaker and friend Karen Steinwachs.  Taken directly from their website reads the following: “So beautifully floral, with unctuous aromas of lychee, jasmine and orange blossom leaping from the glass.  Bone dry with tangy lime, peach and pear with a hint of hazelnut on the palate.”  Winery price is $36.00 a bottle.

Thacher 2022 Working Holiday GSM:   Thacher is a small hand-crafted family owned winery in Paso Robles with some exceptional wines including this wonderful GSM that both Andi and Karissa fell in love with.  This is a true GSM Blend with 34% Grenache, 34% Syrah and 32% Mourvèdre.  You should notice aromas of oregano, olive tapenade and roasted berries. The palate shows off cooking spices and big plum flavors.  Enjoy this one!

Dominion Tantara 2019 Lolita Red:  You may remember we had a contest in the tasting room with three vintages of this wine and the 2019 won.  Once again, New Zealander Rick Hill is the winemaker who blended Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere varietals all from the Los Olivos District.  This is a dry, tannic and intense red that you can pair with any back yard barbecue like burgers, tri-tip and rib eye steak.  Winery price is $45.00 on this beauty.

Grey Wolf Cabernet Sauvignon:  This 2022 vintage is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and 100% delicious!  This wine is only available to wine club members at the winery but because you are all so special you can enjoy it too.  Enjoy aromas of ripe blackberry, red plum, cranberry and currant.  Flavors of mocha, vanilla and baking spice linger on the finish.

We hope you enjoy our third wine club offering as much as we enjoyed putting it together.  And remember, as a wine club member, you receive a free snack tray upon every visit and a 20% off savings* on the bar, merchandise and take home bottles.  *certain restrictions may apply.
